Looking for the perfect name for your new dog? Take a hint from celebrities who have been giving their pups creative and unusual names for years. Here are some of the hottest names that celebrities in Hollywood have bestowed upon their dogs.
Bulldogs are a very popular breed among celebrities. Jeremy Piven of “Entourage” fame recently got a French bulldog that he aptly named Napoleon. Adam Sandler, known for his love of bulldogs, has had three different pups over the years named Meatball, Matzoball and Babu.
Talk show hosts share love for their dogs too. Martha Stewart has two French bulldogs, Francesca and Sharkey, as well as a Chow Chow named Genghis Khan. Rachael Ray loves her adopted pit bull, Isaboo, while Oprah has had a number of dogs to love: Solomon, Sophie, Gracie, Luke, Layla, Sunny, Lauren and Sadie.
Pocket-sized pups have become a popular accessory in Hollywood. Paris Hilton’s Chihuahua is Tinkerbell, while Britney Spears opted to name hers Bit Bit. Demi Moore and Aston Kutcher also have a Chihuahua, named Vida Blue.
The trend of celebrities giving their dogs interesting names is nothing new. Audrey Hepburn named her Yorkshire terrier Mr. Famous, while Marilyn Monroe had a little white poodle named Maf. And no one can forget about the latest first dog living in the White House. The Obama’s Portuguese water dog is named Bo.
No matter what name you choose, your pup is sure to be a celebrity in your home.
